Tina Finch Marshall

Tina comes from a long family history of dancers. Tina’s grandparents and great grandparents were in fact stage and performance dancers over a 100 years ago.

Tina started ballroom dancing at the tender age of 8 in London, England. She completed all her junior medal with high marks and distinctions, competing in many competitions.  She stopped dancing as a teenager to concentrate on her school studies and in the time
she migrated to Australia.   After finishing High school she decided to return to dancing she found that she had lostnone of her previous skills and it was suggested that she might like to train as a dance teacher.  She did so with great enthusiasm and energy also studying and performing in other styles of dance.

As she started teaching she realised that she had a passion to teach people that do not believe they could ever dance, regardless of age culture or disabilities, learning to dance really has no boundaries and this makes everyday coming to the studio a new adventure.

Tina has now been teaching in Wollongong for over 25years she is a fully qualified coach and adjudicator. Tina is a well established and much loved member of our dancing community!

Miss Zoe - Director 'EVOLVE'

Zoe is the Director of Evolve Performance Studio, which has it's home at Dancespace383!

For over 20 years, Zoe have been competing and performing in dance, which has inspired her to provide further experiences to her students. As a result she provides many opportunities for them to be involved in a variety of productions. Zoe is heavily involved in the Illawarra as a choreographer and director in productions such as Southern Stars – The Arena Spectacular, South Coast Dance Festival, school fete performances, school productions and dance workshops. Her students have competed in local Eisteddfods, successfully placing in a range of styles and age troupes.

Zoe has taught at Dancespace 383 from 2006 to present. She established her own classes in a wide variety of dance genres from Tiny Tots to Adults and these classes have grown over the years to a popular size and are a welcome addition to the many competitive studios within the Illawarra. It was only fitting that the evolution of EVOLVE PERFORMANCE STUDIOS coincided with her 10th anniversary year of teaching at Dancespace 383. EVOLVE PERFORMANCE STUDIOS is greatly hosted by Dancespace 383.

Zoe is a qualified Dance Teacher recognised by Asia Pacific Dance Association (APDA) and is currently completing a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management through the Australian Teachers of Dance (ATOD). Over the years, Zoe has expanded her skills and training in Circus skills; namely acrobatics, silk, trapeze and contortion. This has provided her with another avenue to express her passion of human movement and performance. Formally trained in RAD Ballet, FATD Jazz, Contemporary/Modern, Hip Hop and Gymnastics, she has continued her love for dance education and performance in these areas. On a yearly basis, she independently choreographs and produces a complete dance showcase for her students to perform to their families and friends.

Completing a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education degree at the University of Wollongong in 2011, enabled her to gain an appropriate full-time teaching position at Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts. This school was the perfect location for a talented dancer and a passionate health educator. Zoe has since relocated to Woonona High School where she teaches Physical Education and Health, and has successfully established a Dance program within the school.

Zoe’s teaching objective is to provide students with a safe and encouraging environment, in which they can be challenged and achieve to the best of their abilities. She believes that every individual has the potential to achieve and she constantly remind her students that “persistence and patience” is the key to success.
